Manual Valve Actuator for tag TPS-P1-BFV-2, P2-BFV2, P3-BFV2, P4-BFV2
Valve actuators conform to AWWA Standard C504 and are designed to hold the valve in any intermediate
position between full open and fully closed without creeping or fluttering. Actuators are equipped with
mechanical stop-limiting devices to prevent overtravel of the disc in the open and closed positions. The
buried service MDT actuator has a mechanical stop which will withstand and input torque of 450 ft. lbs at
extreme actuator position without damage.
Manual Valve worm gear actuator for tag TP-BFV2, BFV3, BFV4
Same as above except of the worm gear type which will withstand input torque of 300 ft. lbs at extreme
actuator position without damage. See worm gear technical information.

Painting
Valve interior and exterior surfaces except for seating shall be coated with two coats of epoxy paint
Amercoat 370 in accordance with AWWA C550 and AWWA C504. Coating is NSF-61 approved.
Testing
Hydrostatic and leakage tests will be conducted in strict accordance with AWWA Standard C504.
