decision between the Executive/ Deputy Engineer Z P Washim and the contractors<br />

representative in charge <strong>of</strong> work. The progress <strong>of</strong> work shall be reviewed in every two<br />

months and revised programmes shall be drawn if necessary. No revised programme<br />

shall be operative without the approval <strong>of</strong> engineer in charge in writing. The Engineer is<br />

further empowered to ask for more detailed schedule or schedules say weekly for any<br />

item or items. In case <strong>of</strong> urgency <strong>of</strong> work as will be directed by him and the contractor<br />

shall supply the same and when asked for. Acceptance <strong>of</strong> the programme or the revised<br />

programme by the Engineer in charge shall not relieve the contractor <strong>of</strong> his<br />

responsibility to complete the whole work by the prescribed time or the extended time if<br />

any.<br />

24.3 The contractor shall employ sufficient plant, equipment and labour as may be necessary<br />

to maintain the progress schedule. The working and shift hours restricted to one shift a<br />

day for operations to be done under the Government supervision shall be such as may<br />

be approved by the Engineer in charge. They shall not be varied without prior approval<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Engineer. Night work which requires supervision shall not be permitted except<br />

when specially allowed by Engineer on each item if required by contractor. The<br />

contractor shall provide necessary lighting arrangement etc. for night work as directed<br />

by Engineer without extra cost to Government.<br />

24.4 The contractor shall submit reports on progress <strong>of</strong> work in forms and statements etc. at<br />

periodical intervals in the form <strong>of</strong> progress chart, forms, statements and / or reports as<br />

may be approved by the Engineer in charge. Forms for the sending reports about the<br />

progress will be supplied by the Executive Engineer.<br />

24.5 The contractor shall maintain pr<strong>of</strong>orma, charts, details regarding the machinery,<br />

equipments, labour, materials, periodical returns there<strong>of</strong>, pr<strong>of</strong>orma to be got approved<br />

from the Engineer in charge.<br />

25. PAYMENTS :<br />

The contractor must understand clearly that the rates quoted are for completed work and<br />

include all cost due to labour, all leads and lifts involved and if further necessitated, scaffolding,<br />

plants, machineries, supervision power, service works, royalties, octroies, taxes, etc. and<br />

should also include all expenses to cover the cost <strong>of</strong> lighting, night works if and when required<br />

& no claim for additional payment beyond the rates quoted will be entertained and the<br />

contractor will not be entitled subsequently to make any claim on the ground <strong>of</strong> any<br />

representation or on any promise by any person (whether member in the employment <strong>of</strong> any<br />

Public IDW, NRHM CELL, HEALTH DEPARTMENT or not) or on the ground <strong>of</strong> any failure on<br />

his part to obtain all necessary information for the purpose <strong>of</strong> making his tender and fixing the<br />

several prices and rates therein relieve him from any risks or liabilities arising out <strong>of</strong> or<br />

consequences upon submission <strong>of</strong> the tender. Payment to the contractor will be made by the<br />

cheque drawn on any treasury within the division provided the amount to be paid exceeds Rs.<br />

100/- shall amount will be paid in cash.<br />
