ANNEXURE - II<br />
The following additional specification /procedure shall be followed for providing shuttering and centring arrangement for relevant tender<br />
items in various parts <strong>of</strong> this building.<br />
Form <strong>Work</strong>:<br />
In general the formwork should be <strong>of</strong> marine ply woods plates. Only for slab bottom the formwork <strong>of</strong> M.S. plates can be allowed on merit<br />
basis based on the condition <strong>of</strong> M.S. plates if they are suitable designed for the purpose. It will not be binding on the part <strong>of</strong> the Engineer In<br />
charge .to allows for M.S formwork. The thickness <strong>of</strong> marine ply wood with damage surface, varying thickness will not be allowed to be<br />
used. The surface <strong>of</strong> the formwork should be treated properly to prevent adhesion <strong>of</strong> concrete to the forms.<br />
The marine ply wood shuttering plates shall be braced suitable with angle iron or wooding frames to withstand the loads to be<br />
imposed on the formwork and to prevent bending, deflection, deformation in size or displacement <strong>of</strong> the member. The formwork should be<br />
watertight to prevent leakage <strong>of</strong> concrete water or cement slurry from the section.<br />
CENTREING: -<br />
For centering M.S. tubular props and struts with adjustment heights should only be used. The total supporting arrangement shall be<br />
designed by the contractor, confirming the relevant I.S. code and standard practice being adopted in the type <strong>of</strong> work. The Centring<br />
arrangement shall be adequately braced and properly fixed by using appropriate type <strong>of</strong> fastening and fixture to ensure stability and stay <strong>of</strong><br />
the Centring to withstand all loads coming on it. Before commencement <strong>of</strong> this item the total arrangement <strong>of</strong> Centring and work design<br />
