All <strong>WMATA</strong> Metrorail st<strong>at</strong>ions, including the four studied as a part <strong>of</strong> this <strong>study</strong>, have a<br />
daily <strong>parking</strong> r<strong>at</strong>e <strong>of</strong> $4.50, which must be paid when exiting<br />
the <strong>parking</strong> facility between 10:30 AM and the st<strong>at</strong>ion closing<br />
Monday through Friday. In 2004, <strong>WMATA</strong> adopted a nocash<br />
policy for their <strong>parking</strong> facilities. Parking fees must be<br />
paid using a SmarTrip card, available <strong>at</strong> all st<strong>at</strong>ions, or via<br />
credit card <strong>at</strong> selected st<strong>at</strong>ions. Payment by credit card is a<br />
pilot program available <strong>at</strong> the following metro st<strong>at</strong>ions:<br />
• Anacostia • Vienna/Fairfax<br />
• Franconia/Springfield • Shady Grove<br />
• Largo Town Center • New Carrollton<br />
