LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to the 10th Autumn Brew Review at the Historic Grain Belt Brewery. Its hard not to look back at what has happened
this being the tenth ABR. My first ABR was in 2004 when the event was at its original location, Peavey Plaza. I remember
walking up and buying tickets the day of the event and being exposed to many beers I had not drank before. About 800 people
attended the event and selling out the event was a challenge. We now have this fantastic location that resonates to beer fans
for it’s history. Be sure to go on a tour with Doug Hoverson today to check out this great space.
There are many individuals to thank that got ABR started, Dave Berg and Paul Norton are the individuals I know, but there are
many I can’t name. I am familiar with the individuals that made this 10th ABR happen, namely the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s
Guild festival committee - Bob Blair, Bryon Tonnis, Bob McKenzie, Mike Hoops, as well as Laura & Colin Mullen, and our great
sponsors, advertisers, event partners, volunteers, brewers and distributors.
I also want to thank all the Minnesota beer drinkers that are the driving force behind the growth of ABR. Your passion,
consumption, and advocacy of our beers are why we see more beer bars opening, more craft beer available at existing bars and
more craft beer in liquor stores. Continue to demand great beers and that’s what you will get. Grab your glass, enjoy the beers,
the site, the bands and hopefully you will find some great beers you have not had before!
