Longmont, CO | www.lefthandbrewing.com
The Left Hand Brewing Company has been brewing world-class, award winning beers since its founding in 1993. We
see our beers as a wonderful liquid food to compliment meals and social occasions. We strive for the perfect balance
and harmony between malt and hops in every beer - from our lightest to our darkest - allowing our consumers a truly
unique and flavorful experience in every glass. The name Left Hand comes from the Arapahoe Indian word “niwot”
which means left hand. Niwot was a Southern Arapahoe Indian Chief who wintered with his tribe in the Boulder Valley
area of Colorado, There is a town, a creek, a mountain and now an award winning brewery named after Chief Niwot!
Milk Stout [ 5.9 % ABV ]
Roasted malt and coffee flavors build the foundation of this sweet
stout. This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream
Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers
touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today
adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an
outstanding, year ‘round stout.
Sawtooth Ale [ 4.8 % ABV ]
Sawtooth Ale is an English style Extra Special Bitter. It is an extremely
well balanced beer, with significant hop character, medium body,
and a maltiness which increases in evidence as the beer warms to
its “proper” drinking temperature. . The water used is quite hard,
bringing it to near Burton on Trent levels, keeping it true to the style.
This gives it the appropriate character and improves the malt extract
significantly. This amber ale is the perfect balance between malt and
hops. A great session beer.
400 Pound Monkey [ 6.6 % ABV ]
Why does the world need another IPA? Because this one ain’t like
them others. Using hops of a different color, earthy and herbal, it’s
well balanced by bready malt. The result? An English-style IPA that
separates itself from the ubiquitous bunch. Initial malt sweetness
followed by earthy, straw and herbal hop notes. Finishes dry with a
pleasant lingering bitterness and distinctly British hop character.
Left Hand’s newest beer!
Moo-Tooth [ Cowbell % ABV ]
At Left Hand Brewing Company, we put our pants on the same
way as everybody else. Except when we put our pants on, we make
award winning beers! If you “gotta fever”, come try a Black-n-Tan,
Left Hand style! We mix our 2 best selling beers, Milk Stout and
Sawtooth, and serve it up with a side order of cowbell at no extra
charge. I gotta fever!
