LEONARDO 250 - 300 FUEL SYSTEM 4.3.2. REMOVING THE CARBURETTOR • Position the vehicle on the stand. • Remove the air filter box, see 4.2.2 (REMOVING THE AIR FILTER BOX). • Remove the battery compartment, see 7.1.18 (RE- MOVING THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT). • Remove and close the two pipes (1-2) on heater. • Disconnect automatic starter connector. • Disconnect throttle position sensor connector. • Position the free end of the drain pipe (3) inside the collection tank. • Loosen the drain screw (4) and wait until all the fuel has flowed out (fuel present in the carburettor and in the fuel header tank). • Tighten the drain screw (4) completely. 4 - 11
FUEL SYSTEM LEONARDO 250 - 300 • Disconnect the fuel delivery pipe (5) from the carburettor. • Completely unscrew the nut (6) that fixes the rigid bend of the accelerator cable (7). • Withdraw the rigid bend of the accelerator cable (7) from its seat. • Withdraw the accelerator cable head from the lever coupling. • Loosen and remove the two nuts (8) from intake manifold. • Remove the carburettor completely. 4 - 12
