<strong>Reference</strong><br />
Using the MIC INPUT jack<br />
By connecting a microphone to the MIC INPUT jack located on the rear panel of this instrument, you can enjoy singing<br />
along with your own performance. To the signal input via the MIC INPUT jack, you can apply the Effect of this instrument,<br />
including the Vocoder Effect. The example below assumes you want to sing while playing the keyboard.<br />
1 Connect the microphone to the MIC INPUT jack.<br />
2 To turn the Mic Input on, press the [MIC ON/OFF] button.<br />
3 Use the INPUT GAIN knob to adjust the input level of the signal.<br />
Adjust the input gain so that the PEAK lamp flashes briefly when you play at your loudest level.<br />
4 Select “MIC” by pressing the Knob Function button then adjust the volume by using the knob to<br />
which the VOLUME is assigned.<br />
5 As necessary, adjust PAN, CHO SEND, REV SEND by using the assigned knobs.<br />
Enhancing the Sound with Effects<br />
You can also apply various effects to your voice.<br />
1 Press the [UTILITY] button to enter the Utility mode.<br />
2 Select the “Voice” in the Utility Select display, then press [ENTER] button.<br />
3 Select “A/D FX,” then press the [ENTER] button.<br />
4 Select “InsA,” then press the [ENTER] button.<br />
5 Move the cursor to the Effect category, then select the desired category by using the Data Dial,<br />
[DEC] and [INC] buttons.<br />
6 Move the cursor to the Type, then select the desired effect type by using the Data Dial, [DEC] and<br />
[INC] buttons.<br />
Other Functions<br />
Calling up the Simple display<br />
In the Voice Play mode, you can select the design of display called “Simple” display by holding the [SHIFT] button then<br />
pressing the cursor [][] buttons. The Simple display shows the Voice Name in a large font. Three types of character<br />
are available and can be selected.<br />

NOTE: When changing to the Simple display, the displayed Voice name scrolls. To stop scrolling, press the [EXIT] button. Press the<br />
[ENTER] button to scroll the Voice name again.<br />
Panel Lock Function<br />
The panel lock function can temporarily disable the panel operation and prevent unintended operation during live<br />
performance. When you press the [PANEL LOCK] button, its lamp will light and all the buttons/Knobs/Sliders except for<br />
the Master Volume/Input Gain/Pitch Bend wheel/Modulation wheel/foot switch will be locked. Press the [PANEL LOCK]<br />
button again to cancel the Panel Lock.<br />
NOTE: You can set the buttons to which the Panel Lock function is applied in the Panel Lock display (page 145) of Utility. When setting<br />
the target of the panel lock as except to “All,” the [PANEL LOCK] button will flash while turned on.<br />
