GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION:<br />

Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) is setting up a Coal fired<br />

Thermal Power plant at Barauni, Begusarai District, Bihar. The<br />

capacity of the proposed thermal power project is 500MW with 2 x<br />

250 MW configurations with sub – critical steam parameters. The<br />

power generated from the plant will be sold to BIHAR as well as to<br />

other states through interstate transmission system. <strong>BHEL</strong> is the<br />

EPC contractor for the above plant and M/s BSEB has appointed<br />

M/S EVONIC as the owner’s consultant for the project.<br />
