If theprintis faint,or uneve~ checkthe following:

Is the ribbon properly installed
Is the ribbonwornout
Possible remedy
Check andreinstallif necessary.
The ribbonhas a long life, but will eventually need
replacing.Fit anew ribboncartridgeif necessary.
If dots aremissingin theprinting,checkthe following:
Check
Are dots missing at random
in theprinting
Possible remedy
The ribbonhas bmnne slack causing it to get caught
up.Stopprinting,removetheribboncartridge,retension
andreplace iL
Is a line of dots missingcOn- The print head may be damaged.Stop printing, and
sistently throughout the contactyoursupplier.

If your applicationsoftwtuecannotprint the fonts or charactersselected,
checkthe following:
Check
Is your applicationsoftware
properlyinstalled
Are fonts not being selected
propely
Are characters other than
thoseexpectedbeingpinted
Possible remedy
If theprintoutis not whatis expected:
Check the sofiware inatallatimLand re-install the
softwareif necessary.
Check the software installation and insezt the commandsnecessaryfor
font changeainto the software.
Eitheryou areuaingthewrongInternationalCharacter
Set (reset with Memory Switch or sotlsvare commands~
or you have the wrongcharacterset selected
(forexampleifcharacteraotherthanl13Mblockgraphic
charactersarebeingprinted).CorrectthiswithMemory
Switch or the appropriatesotlware sequences.
Check
Is rhe printer installed correctly
Is the printernot printing
anything that you are expecting
Possible remedy
Your software may thinkthatit is driving a different
emulationto the one actually set. Check the Memory
Switch settingsto makesureyou have therightemulation.
Uaethe Hex Dumpmodeto analyzetheoutputtiomthe
computerto the@nta. This will enableyoudetermine
thattherightescapesequen% etc arebeingtransmitted.
