PART I – The Contribution of the Norwegian Air Forces<br />
Article 6.<br />
Where a member of the Norwegian Armed Forces is to be tried by a<br />
Civil Court of the United Kingdom, the responsible authority of the<br />
Norwegian Force concerned shall give such facilities to the appropriate<br />
civil authorities in the United Kingdom as may be necessary for the<br />
purpose of providing for the trial.<br />
Article 7.<br />
When members of the Norwegian Land, Sea and Air Forces are serving<br />
in any territory outside the United Kingdom which is under the<br />
authority of His Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom the expression<br />
«United Kingdom» shall, in relation to those members, mean<br />
that territory.<br />
Article 8.<br />
Any offence or act of omission committed by any member of the Norwegian<br />
Armed Forces on board a warship flying the Norwegian Flag is<br />
excluded from the scope of Articles 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the present Appendix.<br />

NOTE ON THE ECONOMIC AGREEMENT<br />
The economic agreement made as a result of the main agreement<br />
stated among other things that the Norwegian squadrons furnished<br />
with British equipment became Norwegian property. These were paid<br />
outright £180,000 per squadron. The sum included aircraft, unit equipment<br />
and other special equipment required.<br />
Norway further paid an annual fee of £520,000 per squadron, later<br />
reduced to £420,000 per squadron, towards the obligation of the United<br />
Kingdom to hold the Norwegian squadrons in first-class condition at<br />
