Specific offers of maintenance and repairs of rolling stock services
in Košice region
ZSSK CARGO, in the field of maintenance and repairs of rolling stock
(RS), covers the entire territory of the Slovak Republic either directly
in repair workshops of strategically located traffic junctions or indirectly
by services provided by mobile automotive workshop personnel.
Apart from provision of rolling stock technical conditions within
our own rolling stock fleet, our company offers common repairs also
to external customers.
In 2006 and in 2007, ZSSK CARGO became the biggest provider
of rolling stock repair services within the lower types of repairs in
Slovakia. This motivates our company to improve the quality of offered
portfolio. It may also be further stated that ZSSK CARGO takes an important
position in the rolling stock maintenance and repairs area also
within higher types of rolling stock repairs (main and revision repairs).
Košice repair centre is the biggest ZSSK CARGO centre as far as
volumes of rolling stock maintenance and repair performances.
Performances of the centre are influenced by metallurgical industry in
the region and by transportations realized via Eastern Slovak Transhipment
Yards and CTT Dobrá. As the only repair centre, it offers services
of lower and higher types of repairs of broad-gauge rolling stock. In
2007, in Košice centre, repairs for 52 external customers were done
and 2 272 railway vehicles left this centre. All provided activities are
performed in compliance with implemented management quality system
for certified product Maintenance and Repairs of Rolling Stock.
Workplaces of maintenance and repairs of rolling stock are located
in the eastern part of Slovakia in the following key locations: Košice,
Čierna nad Tisou, Maťovce, Haniska pri Košiciach, Humenné.
Services provided in workplaces of Košice centre for maintenance
and repair of rolling stock
Workplaces are divided according to specializations for maintenance
and repairs of:
tractive vehicles of dependent and independent traction,
Freight wagons,
Passenger carriages.
Services:
1. Higher types of repairs
Main repairs of tractive vehicles and revision repairs of freight
wagons and passenger carriages,
2. Lower types of repairs
Periodical and unplanned repairs of tractive vehicles, freight wagons
and passenger carriages,
3. Planned repairs
Diagnostics of fuels, wheelsets and electric parts,
Loading tests on water resistance,
Turning of wheelsets and brake discs of rolling stock – with or without
mounting,
Rolling stock weighting and setting of wheel and axle loading,
Loading test status of leaf and spiral-coiled springs,
4. Offer of other services
Technical controls, inspections, technical-safety testing of rolling
stock in accordance with Ministry of Transport, Post and Telecommunication
of the Slovak Republic Decree No. 250/1997 Coll.,
Inspection of specialized skills of suppliers,
Revision of electric equipment within the range of competences,
Safety inspection of rolling stock,
Safety inspection of rolling stock after specific incidents,
Material quality control,
Production of large-capacity roll gates,
services in the area of repairs of rolling stock by means of mobile
automotive workshops.
