A-Z Guide<br />
Location Service: Our location service allows you to dine at the pool, on the<br />
beach or in the spa. You should be aware that is payable locally and operates at<br />
selected times.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Spa: Please note that all treatments and some facilities are payable locally.<br />
Mountain Bikes: Hire of bikes is based at the neighbouring property Club<br />
Robinson which is some 500 metres away. Guests are welcome to hire and<br />
return the mountain bikes from here. Local charges apply.<br />
Nursery: Open 7 days a week for 0-4yrs inclusive; pre-bookable full or half day<br />
care (half days 09:30-13:00 or 13:30-17:00, full days 09:30-17:00). Sessions can<br />
be booked in resort if available but places will be limited. One 4hr evening<br />
session for customers who have pre booked - provided free of charge, subject to<br />
availability. Strict child to staff ratio to ensure excellent quality of care. Snacks<br />
and drinks are provided. Packed lunches, prepared feeds and milk must be<br />
provided by the parents and will be refrigerated to feed the children when<br />
required. Parents must provide nappies. Ill children will not be accepted into<br />
the nursery.<br />
Play <strong>House</strong>: Supervised sessions run 6 days a week and some evenings, ages<br />
3-12yrs inclusive. Safety is paramount - we work to a strict staff to child ratio of<br />
1:8 with 2 childcare staff always in attendance. To meet UK legislation for the<br />
childcare profession, we may have to limit numbers and attendance may have to<br />
be on a rota basis. Ill children will not be accepted into the supervised sessions.<br />
Pre-bookable Mothercare equipment, food and care packs available. Please see<br />
the Familyclub A-Z section for more details.<br />
Soccer School: Pre-bookable soccer school is available on-site at Sensatori Crete<br />
and operates between 1 Jul-1 Sep. Sessions start from £25 for 2x90 min<br />
sessions and children will be accepted between the ages of 5-16.<br />
Sensatori Tenerife<br />
Full Board Plus: Includes breakfast, lunch & dinner in selected restaurants,<br />
where at mealtimes house wine, draft beer & soft drinks are included. At<br />
other times of your holiday drinks are chargeable. Some restaurants are<br />
payable locally & all except the main restaurant require a reservation. You<br />
should be aware that a dress code operates in the restaurants where males<br />
are asked to wear long trousers & no sleeveless shirts are allowed.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Spa, Nursery and Play <strong>House</strong>: Details as per Sensatori Crete above.<br />
Thomson Familyclubs<br />
General information<br />
■ Adjoining or interconnecting rooms available in selected hotels. You must book<br />
and pay for 2 interconnecting rooms. Without 2 full-fare-paying adults staying in<br />
both rooms, child reductions do not apply. When requesting adjoining rooms,<br />
you must book 2 of the same room type and the ‘adjoining room’ extra facility.<br />
■ Family rooms for 2 adults and 2 children are available in selected<br />
accommodation but space may be limited when fully occupied.<br />
■ Children’s buffet available at selected hotels and apartments. Apartments<br />
(where catering is provided) without a buffet offer a children’s menu.<br />
■ Thomson Entertainers (where available) organise family activities 6 days<br />
a week.<br />
■ <strong>The</strong> opening times of the Drop in Den (where available) will vary from hotel to<br />
hotel. Kids may drop in for up to 2hrs at a time. <strong>The</strong> Drop in Den may not<br />
operate during Kidzone sessions.<br />
■ Kidzone evening club operates 3 times a week and will incur a small payment<br />
per session, payable locally in resort.<br />
■ A playground for older children and a soft play area for the toddlers. <strong>The</strong>se<br />
meet internationally recognised safety standards. Parents must supervise<br />
children on all play equipment.<br />
■ Familyclub towels for use during your holiday will require a small deposit.<br />
■ Crèches are available at some properties. Where provided, NNEB/CACHE or<br />
equivalent staff look after children under 4yrs for 2hr sessions throughout<br />
the day.<br />
■ Sessions in Thomson Familyclub crèches can be pre-booked in the UK or in<br />
resort subject to availability. Pre-bookable prices for 3x2 hr sessions and 6x2 hr<br />
sessions are available at a discounted rate versus the price paid in resort. <strong>The</strong> full<br />
Thomson Familyclub programme will not commence until the first arrival on or<br />
after 1st May.<br />

Celebration packs must be pre-booked 7 days before departure. Adult packs<br />
which include wine are for 18 years and over.<br />
Reebok Football Academy: Reebok Football Academy is pre-bookable at an<br />
extra charge at FamilyClub Xtra properties and is limited to specific dates during<br />
high season (your holiday advisor will confirm exact dates).<br />

Room Choice Options: Only 1 room choice option per room will be accepted.<br />
<strong>The</strong>se are subject to availability and not all room choices will be available for all<br />
room types. All room choice options must be booked for the full duration of the<br />
holiday at the price shown on the hotel page. <strong>The</strong>y must be pre-booked up to 7<br />
days before departure and must be paid for in full when you settle your Holiday<br />
Invoice (or Final Invoice, if any).<br />
Thomson Premier<br />
Thomson Premier benefits apply to A la Carte, Active, BeachClub, <strong>Platinum</strong> and<br />
Sensatori holidays taken on hotels packaged with flights with our in-house<br />
airline. In order to qualify for these benefits the booking must be taken a<br />
minimum of 14 days before departure.<br />
Complimentary In-flight Meal: In-flight meal must be selected at time of<br />
booking and will be provided complimentary for Thomson Premier departures.<br />
Exclusive <strong>Platinum</strong> Lounges: are available at selected <strong>Platinum</strong> properties.<br />
Increased baggage allowance: Each Thomson Premier passenger travelling with<br />
Thomson Airways has a 23kg limit on checked-in luggage. No single item of<br />
baggage may exceed 23kg. Each passenger may take up to 7kg of hand luggage<br />
on board. Thomson Premier customers travelling on flights other than with our<br />
in-house airline are not eligible for extra luggage allowance benefit. In the event<br />
that legal regulations change and a maximum checked-in baggage allowance is<br />
enforced, baggage allowance for these holidays will be reduced in line with the<br />
new regulations.<br />
Minimum Customer Scores: Customer Satisfaction Scores (see “Your Opinion”)<br />
are used to determine if a property achieves the minimum score of 90%<br />
customers rating “excellent” or “good”. A minimum of 20 customer satisfaction<br />
responses are deemed significant to rate a hotel. Where a hotel or apartments<br />
have less than 25 responses or is new for that season, a judgment has been<br />

taken using our expertise to establish if the quality of the property meets the<br />
requirements for our Premier range.<br />
Reserved Seating: Reserved Seating must be selected at time of booking. We<br />
will endeavour to seat your party together where possible but bookings within 4<br />
weeks of departure may result in loss of this benefit. All seating options are<br />
subject to availability on the flight. We are unable to guarantee seating together<br />
where a 3rd party flight is utilised. See “Your Flight” for details on restrictions.<br />
Seating together: Seats together must be selected at time of booking. We will<br />
endeavour to seat your party together where possible but bookings within 4<br />
weeks of departure may result in loss of this benefit. All seating options are<br />
subject to availability on the flight. We are unable to guarantee seating<br />
together where a 3rd party flight is utilised. See “Finishing Touches” for details<br />

Thomson Premier Transfer First or Second Stop: Priority transfers are subject<br />
to availability. <strong>The</strong>re may be other guests on your coach who are not staying in a<br />
Thomson Premier hotel.<br />
UK Day Before Check In: At Gatwick and Manchester and pre-bookable<br />
at Birmingham, you can save time by checking in 12:00-22:00 on the day before<br />
you travel. This means less time spent at the airport on the day you fly. To<br />
comply with the Department of Transport security requirements, all members of<br />
the party must present themselves at check-in. <strong>The</strong>y will need to take the letter<br />
of confirmation from us, everybody’s ticket and passport, plus all baggage. Our<br />
agents will issue a letter outlining arrangements for your departure the next day.<br />
This is a free service for Thomson Premier customers.<br />
VIP Airport Experience Discounts: 25% discount on airport hotels, meet &<br />
greet valet parking and VIP UK airport lounges. Discounts subject to availability<br />
and must be booked when completing initial holiday purchase.<br />
Our Prices, Offers and Group <strong>Travel</strong><br />
Prices: Brochure prices are to be used as a guide only and were accurate at the<br />
time the brochure was printed. <strong>The</strong> guide price represents the basic lead-in price<br />
for the brochured departure period. We reserve the right to change holiday<br />
prices throughout the season depending on the availability of places. Underoccupancy<br />
supplements may apply if rooms are not filled to maximum<br />
occupancy. Prices include a cost for fuel that was estimated at the time of<br />
printing. We reserve the right to add a fuel supplement to holiday prices. We<br />
may also change the price of flight insurance, and the air travel security charge<br />
which tour operators and airlines have to charge. Please talk to your holiday<br />
advisor or your travel agent to obtain the latest prices for holidays, flight<br />
insurance, fuel supplements and the air travel security charge.<br />

Adult Savers: Adult savers may be available for holidays that carry the “Adult<br />
Savers” headline in the accommodation pages - there must be no children on<br />
the booking, they cannot be combined with other special offers, including the<br />
Group Discounts. <strong>The</strong>y may not be available for every type of accommodation on<br />
every departure date; Adult saver values will vary up to the specified amount per<br />
couple; Adult savers are subject to availability, limited in number and can be<br />
withdrawn at any time.<br />
Charges for optional extras (‘Finishing Touches’): Charges for pre-bookable<br />
options, such as late checkout rooms, are in addition to the basic cost of<br />
the holiday.<br />
Child Offers and Prices: <strong>The</strong>se are on a strictly limited, ‘first come, first served’<br />
basis. Up to 2 children may travel for less than the full adult fare but do not<br />
count as adults when the accommodation occupancy level is calculated. Only<br />
those paying the full adult fare (including the 3rd and 4th child benefiting from<br />
the large family offer) are counted as occupants in a hotel room, villa or<br />
apartment, whatever their age. Children qualifying for free or reduced child prices<br />
do not count towards group offers.<br />
Costs for Children: When working out how many adults will be sharing a room<br />
or apartment, any children paying the adult price count as adults. Children<br />
paying the ‘first and second child’ prices in the price panel, or those qualifying<br />
for ‘free child places’, do not count as adults. This is important when working out<br />
prices for apartments.<br />
Discounted Holidays: Any holiday booked within the validity of this brochure<br />
which has more than 10% off will fall into the ‘discounted holidays’ category.<br />
<strong>The</strong>se holidays may be subject to additional charges for coach transfers and may<br />
have a reduced checked in luggage allowance. Any holiday booked within 50 days<br />
of departure may also be subject to additional charges for coach transfers and<br />
may have a reduced checked in luggage allowance. Any increase in baggage<br />
allowance may be subject to additional charges. Luggage allowances may vary<br />
and are subject to change. Please check at time of booking.<br />
Extra charges in villas, apartments and studios: If selecting your holiday from<br />
the brochure, prices are based on the number of adults sharing the standard<br />
type of apartment shown in the price panel (such as ‘studios for 2’ or<br />
‘apartments for 5’ or ‘villa for 6’). <strong>The</strong> number shown is the maximum number of<br />
adults allowed to share. If fewer adults share the apartment (such as 4 sharing<br />
the ‘apartment for 5’), each adult must pay an extra charge which is shown in<br />
the price panel under occupancy supplements per adult per night. Where your<br />
chosen number of adults does not appear, contact your travel agent for the most<br />
up to date prices. <strong>The</strong> ‘prices from’ are based on departures 1-13 May. If booking<br />
online, any applicable under-occupancy supplements will be calculated and<br />
added to your online holiday costing, dependent on the number of passengers<br />
travelling and the room type you select. Seasonal supplements (Low, Mid or<br />
High) are payable per night of your holiday. If, for example, your holiday departs<br />
in ‘Low’ season, but crosses into ‘Mid’ season, you will be charged a supplement<br />
calculated from the corresponding number of nights of your holiday that fall into<br />
each supplement band.<br />
Free child places: Only 1 free child place is available in each hotel room or<br />
selected apartment type or villa (where offered) and only where a child is sharing<br />
a room or villa with 2 full-fare-paying adults.. Free child places are charged:<br />
deposits (refunded when your holiday is paid for in full); flexible dining and meal<br />
supplements; insurance (if taken). If a booking is changed, any free child places<br />
for the new holiday are subject to availability. <strong>The</strong> child’s age must comply with<br />
the age restrictions of the holiday, hotel, chalet or apartment; You must pay for<br />
in-flight meals or Premium Service charge for the child if required, where<br />
applicable; you must pay insurance charges, any optional meal or room<br />
supplements, aviation insurance and security charge and Air Passenger Duty; you<br />
must pay for the ‘Sitting Together’ option for the child if you require this; if the<br />
1st child is free, a 2nd child still pays the 2nd child price shown in the panel.<br />
Flight supplements: <strong>The</strong> basic cost of your holiday is based on departures with<br />
no additional flight costs. <strong>The</strong>se departures are shown as £0 supplement in the<br />
brochure flight tables. If you choose to fly from a different airport, on certain<br />
days or at certain times, you may have to pay a ‘flight supplement’ as shown on<br />
the flight table pages. Flights not listed in the brochure, but which become<br />
available may also attract extra charges, worked out in the same way. Some<br />
holidays are only available on flights with extra charges, either because the<br />
accommodation is available only on certain days of flying, or because onward<br />
travel arrangements are only available at certain times.<br />
Group <strong>Travel</strong> Conditions: Great savings for groups of 10 or more, please call our<br />
Groups department.<br />
■ Group discounts are based on the number of passengers travelling;<br />
■ Group discounts are available to adults only on groups of 10 or more;<br />
■ All members of the group must travel on the same date, for the same<br />
duration and to the same accommodation. Arrangements can sometimes be<br />
made for large groups to depart from different airports;<br />
■ Group discounts do not apply to holidays that include Christmas, New Year,<br />
Easter and peak summer departures;<br />
■ Group discounts may not be available in conjunction with any other offers<br />
featured in this brochure or at time of booking. All group discounts are subject<br />
to availability and the normal booking conditions, and may be withdrawn at<br />
any time;<br />
■ Cancellations within the group will incur standard cancellation charges and<br />
may result in the loss or reduction of discounts;<br />
■ Your group can request its own transport to and from the airport at no<br />
additional charge (for groups of 35 or more), and special service from a<br />
representative at your accommodation with a private get together, greeting on<br />
your first day and discounts on resort excursions (for groups of 20 or more).<br />
To book your group’s holiday, either ask your holiday advisor to contact our<br />
Groups Department or, if you wish to book directly, call our Groups booking line<br />
for customers on 0871 971 0560. Calls cost 10p per minute at all times from BT<br />
landlines. Other operator networks may vary.<br />
Meal supplements in hotels: <strong>The</strong> standard meal arrangement for your holiday is<br />
shown in the brochure price panel or online. If you choose to add more meals,<br />
the extra cost for bed and breakfast, half or full board will also be shown. In<br />
some cases, you may be able to choose to take fewer meals, and that reduction<br />
will also be displayed.<br />
Pet Sitting with Animals at Home: Animals at Home provides pet sitting<br />
services, either at your home or at a host family, through its network of<br />
franchises across the UK. Thomson customers are entitled to a 10% discount on<br />
these services. Please quote reference ‘Tuitravel’ and your holiday/flight booking<br />
reference number to qualify for your discount. To discuss your needs and for<br />

provision of pet care services is the sole responsibility of Animals at Home and<br />
that Thomson will not be liable for nor involved in the transaction between its<br />
customers and Animals at Home nor the provision of pet care services. All<br />
queries should be directed to Animals at Home.<br />
Reduced child prices: Reduced prices for 1st and 2nd children only apply to<br />
children sharing a hotel room or apartment with 2 full-fare-paying adults. If 1<br />
child qualifies for a free child place, a 2nd child sharing the same hotel room or<br />
apartment will pay the full 2nd child price. 4 adults sharing an apartment with 2<br />
or more bedrooms can bring 2 children at the 1st child price (1 may be a free<br />
child, if available). Children not sharing with at least 2 adults (except for single<br />
parent offers where applicable), 3rd and subsequent children pay the adult price<br />
and count as adults when the occupancy level is calculated. Deposits, flight,<br />
room, extra facility and board supplements and insurance premium must be paid<br />
in full for all children travelling at a reduced child price.<br />
Room Supplements: Supplements may be applicable for single rooms, double<br />
beds, extra beds and room upgrades. <strong>The</strong> price for these may vary through the<br />
season, depending on whether your booking falls within Low (L), Mid (M) or<br />
High (H) season. <strong>The</strong> dates that apply to low, mid and high season vary by<br />
resort. If a single person occupies a double room they will usually be asked to<br />
pay extra. This is because hotels tend to price all their rooms as doubles or<br />
family rooms and they do not reduce the rates if it is occupied by a single<br />
person. <strong>The</strong> costs to the hotel of providing the room are the same regardless of<br />
how many people occupy that room. Single rooms are limited in availability and<br />
may be smaller than double or family rooms, but are normally priced on the<br />
same basis, irrespective of design or size. This also applies to self-catering units<br />
where, for example, 3 people may choose to occupy accommodation priced for 4.<br />
We do not make additional or excessive profits from these supplements. <strong>The</strong><br />
prices we charge reflect the costs of occupancy of the rooms contracted to us by<br />
the hotel.<br />
Self-teach Language Courses: Linguaphone publishes and produces language<br />
learning material and other associated goods. Thomson customers are entitled to<br />
a 30% discount on the retail value of Linguaphone’s products. A valid discount<br />
code and booking reference number must be provided in order to claim your<br />

and terms and conditions. This agreement is between the customer and<br />
Linguaphone, Thomson will not be involved in any part of the transaction nor<br />

Supplements and Reductions: Prices are based on 2 adults sharing a standard<br />
room or cabin with facilities as listed. For villas and apartments prices are based<br />
on the number of adults sharing the property. Taxi transfer supplements are<br />
based on 3 people sharing a taxi.<br />
Supplement Resulting from Currently Unknown <strong>Travel</strong> Taxes and Costs: We<br />

Fund. Despite our expertise in travel, it is impossible for us to predict which new<br />
taxes governments may impose or which cost increases may arise due to world<br />
events. Naturally, the scale of these taxes or charges, the timing of their<br />
introduction and even the method of collection has not yet been decided and<br />
therefore it is not possible for us to include them in your holiday price at this<br />
time. If you have already booked by the time they are introduced and these<br />
charges create an overall increase in our costs then it may result in an increase in<br />
the price of your holiday by way of a surcharge.<br />

We published this brochure in June 2009. Prices were accurate at the date of<br />
publication, but could have changed since then. Prices can go up or down. Your<br />
holiday advisor will be able to confirm the price of your holiday before you book.<br />

Age ranges and restrictions:<br />
■ Age ranges are as follows: 2-12yrs inclusive in hotels unless otherwise stated<br />
in the hotel description; 2-16yrs inclusive in apartments and Florida.<br />
■ Children under 2yrs on the date of the return flight count as infants.<br />
■ No person under 18yrs will be allowed to travel independently. If you are<br />
17yrs or under, at least 1 accompanying member of your party must be 18yrs or<br />
over, and this person must be the lead name on the booking.<br />
■ Owing to the nature of tours we regret we are unable to accept bookings for<br />
children under 12yrs.
