This hotel deserves a few prizes for its location. Hemming the
waterfront in Olu Deniz, it’s just footsteps from the beach,
where you’ll find soft sands and pebbles washed by azureblue
waters. There are also bars, shops and restaurants right
on your doorstep. What’s more, the hotel is in a ringside seat
for watching one of Olu Deniz’ favourite pastimes. Paragliding
is a big favourite here, and paragliders often swoop right
down the sands to the cheers of onlookers.
The hotel also stands in lovely gardens. Arranged in candypainted
annexes spread around the grounds, it’s got a
definite Mediterranean- village quality. Bright bougainvillea
trails over wooden trellises, pine trees tickle pan-tiled roofs
and wrought-iron balconies peep over footpaths.
Tucked into the gardens is a lagoon-like pool. Overlooking it
is the main buffet restaurant, whose chairs and tables spill
out to the poolside on summer nights. There’s also a gourmet
Indian eatery where you can dine just inches from the sands.
One last thing. The Belcekiz has made quite a name for itself
on the evening entertainment front. It’s even got its own
outdoor arena that arcs over the lagoon pool. During high
season, it’s the setting for a whole variety of acts, from belly
dancing shows to cabarets and mini-musicals.
