It’s hard to know where to begin at the Atlantica Aeneas. Take
the huge swimming pool snaking round the complex, for
instance. It’s one of the largest in the world and comes
complete with water jets, whirlpool baths and fountains. Plus
it’s got three bars, including a swim-up variety. Terraces and
gardens dotted with sun-loungers and parasols add the
finishing touches to pool perfection.
Then there’s the food. Expect everything from piled-high
buffets to poolside snacks and gourmet dinners. Lots of
special themed nights up the ante even further - Greek,
Mexican, Italian and Chinese cuisine is all on the menu. Love
seafood? Then don’t miss fish night with net-fresh spoils laid
out in traditional fishing boats.
The Atlantica Aeneas doesn’t disappoint when it comes to
activities either. There are courts for tennis and squash,
pitches for football and things like aqua aerobics and water
polo in the pool. It’s more of the same when it comes to
evening entertainment. At the flamboyant end of the
spectrum, there’s everything from illusionists to cabaret acts
and folk dancing. Mellow tones from the cocktail bar pianist
provide a more low-key contrast.
Factor in that the hotel is set in 14 acres of quiet landscaped
gardens - a stone’s throw from beautiful Nissi Beach - and
there’s little need to ever venture out. But if you should feel
the tug of the bright lights and brash fun of Ayia Napa, it’s
two and a half kilometres away.
