This form is should be completed by all participants seeking entry into a Brevard Regional Science &
Engineering Fair. Refer to the 2008-2009 International Science & Engineering Fair Rules Book or
website http://www.societyforscience.org/isef/document/index.asp to answer the following questions.
This form must be completed in blue ink. Make sure to write legibly and keep a copy for yourself.

1. Read the descriptions of categories on page 5 of the International Science and Engineering Rules
and Guidelines book. What category will you be entering this year and using the “Intel ISEF Rules
Wizard”, which forms will you need to complete?
2. What does ISEF stand for? What does SSEF stand for?
3. Read the “Ethics Statement” on page 9 of the ISEF Rules and Guidelines book. Will you abide by
this statement?
4. You will need to cite the ISEF Rule and Guidelines book as a source for your research project. How
will you cite this document?
5. What is the maximum width of the project board (display) allowed at ISEF affiliated fairs?
6. Pins, thumbtacks, push-pins, etc… can no longer be used to attach items to your display board
(Regional and State Rule). How will you be attaching items to your display board?
7. Who has to sign Form 1B prior to experimentation?
8. An abstract is required of your research. What is the maximum length, what does it summarize, and
who’s research must it describe?
