First you will be dealt one of 1,326 possible starting hands.<br />

This number results from the combinations formula<br />

demonstrated in Chapter 1 — The Basic Calculations —<br />

Comb(52, 2):<br />

(52 * 51) = 1,326<br />

(1 * 2)<br />

For purposes of classification, almost all of these 1,326<br />

hands can be sorted into one of four categories:<br />
