perseverance and hard work, that Virtual
Reality Media, a. s., has grown to provide jobs
for 70 employees and that, when it comes
to development, production and sales of advanced
simulation technologies for aircraft,
helicopters and other complex systems, it has
risen to the top echelon of the world simulation
technology leaders. Of course, there are no
coincidences in real life. This is best evidenced
by the fact that the latest ‘Entrepreneur of
the Year Award’ for innovations in Slovakia
went to Július Berith, Director General and
Chairman of Board of Directors, Virtual Reality
Media, a. s.
In its green days the company began development
work on a flight simulator for the
MiG-29 supersonic combat fighter, which had
been in service with the SVK Air Force. Since
the simulator’s handover for training and its
incorporation into the Air Force inventory, the
FMS-29 flight trainer has undergone a series
of modernization upgrades, and in its present
configuration of capabilities and functions
fully corresponds to the upgraded MiG-29AS
combat fighter.
Apart from this product, Virtual Reality
Media, a. s., has delivered a number of high
performance simulators to numerous Slovak
and foreign customers. In the military training
simulation category, these included
simulators for MiG-29, MiG-21, Su-22, Su-25,
L-39 combat and trainer aircraft; Mi-17 and
Mi-171 helicopters; T-72M tank and BMP-2
Infantry Fighting Vehicle; S-2 Strela-2, S-10
Strela-10 and Igla air defence systems; and
a forward air observer simulator. In the civilian
sector, the company has supplied simulators
for Cessna CJ-2 jet aircraft and small
Zlin Z-242 and Z-143 piston engine aircraft.
Throughout its existence the company’s
specialists have worked systematically to deliver
better solutions, seeking highly efficient
technologies and new ways to appeal to its
current and potential customers at home
and abroad.
