Hardware and Software Installation 7. Windows XP will open a "Software Installation" window. Click the button "Continue Anyway". (Depending on the operating system and service pack, this screen may vary or will not appear.) 8. After installation is finished you will be prompted to attach the basic unit to your PC (“CONNECT HARDWARE NOW”). Connect the basic unit via the USB cable to a free USB port on your computer or notebook. Page 26
Hardware and Software Installation 9. After you plug the Basic Unit into the USB port, your computer will notice a newly attached device and the Windows “Found New Hardware Wizard” will pop up. On some systems, you will be asked if you want to connect to “Windows Update” to search for software. If so choose “No, not this time” and click “Next”. Otherwise simply go on with step 10. 10. The “Found New Hardware Wizard” asks you, how to install the Software. Choose to install the software automatically and click the “Next”-button to continue. 11. Windows XP will inform you, that the device has not passed the Windows Logo test. Click "Continue Anyway" to continue the installation. Page 27
