Hardware and Software Installation Do I need batteries? Yes. The triplet uses 2 AA-size batteries. They last about 8 hours. Rechargeable batteries can be used instead. How easily can I transport the SAM PuttLab-system? SAM PuttLab comes in an easy-to-transport and shock resistant case. The system is ready for daily mobile indoor and outdoor use. How do I recognize that the batteries are low or empty? If the battery power is low the LED on the top of the battery clip will blink in red color. If the batteries are empty the LED will not light up and you will get get no data signal from your club movement. If you press the start button on the clip it will not activate or only be active for a short time. One pair of batteries will last 5 to 8 hours depending on use of the system. High capacity rechargeable batteries can be used as well. Does SAM PuttLab provide support for left-handed Players? Yes, for version 1.1 or higher of the software there is a full featured lefthand mode available. In the Player settings you can set a checkbox for left handed players and the stroke recognition and result display will be adapted. Page 30
Hardware and Software Installation Where can I use SAM PuttLab? You can use SAM indoors, for example for training purposes, without any limitations. Through the integrated power supply through the USB-cable you also can take your exercises outdoors and use a notebook to analyze your data. Can SAM PuttLab be used under every weather conditions? No. Due to the employment of modern technology SAM Motion Analyzer hardware components have to be protected from direct rain and sprinkling water. Stormy winds may impact the measurement accuracy. Is it possible to place more than one SAM PuttLab system in the same area, for example for training purposes? Yes, it is possible. But multiple systems should be placed about 5 meters apart from each other in order to avoid interferences between adjacent systems. Page 31
