4. Select the desired security role from the Link pull-down menu. Only security<br />

roles which have previously been defined in the EJB module are shown in this<br />

menu.<br />

5. Optionally, enter a Description for this security role reference.<br />

6. Click OK to apply the changes and close the window.<br />

<strong>Security</strong> role references in <strong>WebSphere</strong> Studio<br />

To link the RoleRef security role reference to the manager security role using<br />

<strong>WebSphere</strong> Studio, do the following:<br />

1. From the Resource Perspective, navigate to the EJB deployment descriptor<br />

file, ebj-jar.xml, and double-click this file.<br />

2. Click the References tab.<br />

3. Select the bean containing the method which calls isCallerInRole() and click<br />

Add....<br />

4. In the Add Reference dialog, select <strong>Security</strong> Role Reference and click Next.<br />

5. In the Add <strong>Security</strong> Role Reference dialog, shown in Figure 5-7, and enter the<br />

reference’s Name. This is the string that is passed to isCallerInRole() in the<br />

Java code.<br />
