To import the file, perform the following steps:<br />

1. Open the browser and access the URL for Server Administration using the<br />

format http:///ldap. Once logged in as root , check that the<br />

Directory server is running.<br />

2. Select Database -> Import LDIF.<br />

3. Enter the name of the LDIF file on the LDAP server from which you want to<br />

import directory data, then click Import.<br />

4. Wait until a message appears indicating that the entries have been<br />

successfully added.<br />

5. Use the DMT tool to verify the new entries.<br />

Configuring <strong>WebSphere</strong> to use the LDAP user registry<br />

In order to use the LDAP directory of your choice as the user registry,<br />

<strong>WebSphere</strong> has to be configured properly.<br />

1. Launch the Administrative Console for <strong>WebSphere</strong>.<br />

2. Select <strong>Security</strong> -> User Registries -> LDAP; this page will provide the<br />

settings for the LDAP configuration.<br />

3. Provide all the information shown in Figure 10-57 according to your system<br />

settings.<br />
