12.4 Scenario 1: Shared user registries<br />

This scenario will show how to share user registries between Tivoli Access<br />

Manager V3.9 and <strong>WebSphere</strong> Application Server <strong>V5.0</strong> by using a common user<br />

registry. By using the same repository for users, you can share user identities<br />

with both Access Manager and <strong>WebSphere</strong>.<br />

<strong>IBM</strong> Directory Server<br />

In this section, we will cover the necessary steps to configure <strong>WebSphere</strong> with<br />

<strong>IBM</strong> Directory Server V3.2.2. <strong>IBM</strong> Directory Server was installed using the<br />

Access Manager ezinstall script for Windows. In addition, we have also installed<br />

the Access Manager Policy Server on the same system.<br />
