To add a suffix in the directory, follow these steps:<br />

1. Open a Web browser, then access the URL for the Server Administration:<br />

http:///ldap<br />

2. Once logged in as an administrator, click the Add Suffixes link at the top of<br />

the page or expand the Settings -> Suffixes folder then click Add Suffixes.<br />

For our example, using the X.500 methodology, we set the following suffix:<br />

o=itso. Click Update, and the Suffix table list will be updated with the new<br />

suffix. At this point, it contains no data.<br />

3. Restart the server by clicking the Restart the Server link at the top of the<br />

page so that the changes may take effect.<br />

Creating a user entry<br />

To add new user entries in the directory, use the Directory Management Tool tool.<br />

Follow the steps below to add a new user:<br />

1. Open the Directory Management Tool by clicking Start -> Programs -> <strong>IBM</strong><br />

SecureWay Directory -> Directory Management Tool.<br />
