10.Now a self-signed certificate can be generated. From the menu bar, select<br />

Create -> New Self-Signed Certificate.<br />

11.A window will appear requesting information in order to generate the<br />

certificate. Enter WASV5IntSec as the Key Label. Ideally, spaces should not be<br />

used in the key label.<br />

12.Select X509 V3 as the Version and 1024 as the Key Size.<br />

13.The first two fields of the Distinguished Name, Common Name and<br />

Organization, are mandatory. The <strong>WebSphere</strong> server name might be entered<br />

as the Common Name, for example: wassrv01.<br />

14.While Organization Unit, Locality and State/Province are optional fields, it is<br />

recommended that appropriate values be entered; for example: ITSO,<br />

Raleigh, NC.<br />

15.Select the appropriate Country, in our case: US.<br />

16.Enter 365 as the Validity Period.<br />

17.Click OK.<br />
