I. Regular attendance of mandatory scheduled individual office hours.<br />
J. Counsel Senators who are not fulfilling their duties.<br />
K. Develop governing bylaws for the organization or select a designee.<br />
Section 2. Vice President<br />
A. To act as the general administrative officer of the Senate and as a special advisor to the President<br />
and to assist in coordinating the operations of the <strong>Student</strong> Senate.<br />
B. To chair the Committee on Clubs and Organizations.<br />
C. To serve as a voting member of the Merit Awards Committee.<br />
D. To serve as a <strong>Student</strong> Senate representative to the <strong>Student</strong> Appropriation Board.<br />
E. To serve as an ex-officio member of all Senate committees subject to the majority approval of the<br />
Senate.<br />
F. To assume the office of President upon its vacancy during session.<br />
G. To serve as an ex-officio member of all Senate committees.<br />
H. To perform any other duty that may be required of this office.<br />
Section 3. Treasurer<br />
A. To act as administrative officer of the Senate and as an advisor to the Senate.<br />
B. To keep an accurate account of Senate finances and to issue regular financial statements at each<br />
regular Senate meeting.<br />
C. To serve as chairperson of the Financial Committee.<br />
D. To have the authority to freeze the expenditures of any organization, with the approval of the<br />
Executive Committee, if the accounts of the organization are not consistent with current <strong>Student</strong><br />
Senate and/or <strong>University</strong> policies.<br />
E. To perform any other duty that may be required of this office.<br />
Section 4. Secretary<br />
A. To act as an administrative officer of the Senate and as advisor to the Senate.<br />
B. To process all official correspondence of the Senate, including the dissemination of agendas and<br />
minutes of meetings. Senators shall receive their agenda and minutes at least five calendar days<br />
before the regularly scheduled meeting.<br />
C. To act as official recording officer at Senate meetings.<br />
D. To be responsible for the reading of and responding to Senate correspondence.<br />
