TRANSCRIPT OF ACADEMIC RECORD<br />

Currently, we do not accept e-mail request for transcripts. To request a transcript, download and<br />

complete the transcript request form from the Office of Records and Registration website or submit a<br />

written signed request to:<br />

The request should include a student’s full name, social security number, date of birth, dates of<br />

attendance, student status- graduate student or undergraduate student and the name and address of the<br />

agency or person to receive the request. You may also fax the request to 410-951-3701.<br />

Normally, transcripts requests are processed within 3 business days of receipt. Due to the high volume of<br />

requests during the following periods: June 1 st through July 30 th , the last week of August and the first<br />

week of September and last week of January and the first week of February transcripts will be processed<br />

within 5 days of receipt of the requests.<br />

There is no charge for transcripts processed within 3 business days. There is a $10.00 fee per transcript<br />

for same day transcript request.<br />

NOTE: The <strong>University</strong> will not release transcripts to students who have outstanding obligations.<br />

UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE<br />

The <strong>University</strong> Bookstore is located in the J. Millard Tawes Center, offering a wide variety of gear for<br />

your <strong>University</strong> needs. There you will find, for your convenience, a wide range of books, both new and<br />

used, and sundries, health and beauty aids, and an array of items imprinted with the <strong>Coppin</strong> <strong>State</strong><br />

UPDATING THE ACADEMIC RECORD<br />

Have you moved??? If so, please fill out the Change of Address Form in the Record's Office, Room 143,<br />

Miles W. Connor Administration Building.<br />

WITHDRAWAL<br />

There are two (2) types of withdrawals. One is the withdrawal from a course (s) and the other is a<br />

withdrawal from the <strong>University</strong> (withdrawal from all courses). The withdrawal period commence the first<br />

day of the semester and ends approximately eleven (11) weeks after the start of the semester. The final<br />

withdrawal date is printed in the Schedule Booklet and on the Web. A grade of “W” will be printed on<br />

the student’s academic records (read information regarding withdrawal in this handbook).<br />

WITHDRAWAL FROM A COURSE<br />

A student may withdraw from a course from the first date of the semester until approximately eleven (11)<br />

weeks after the start of the semester. A grade of “W,” is documented on the transcript indicating official<br />

withdrawal from the course. After the Drop/Add period has ended, students may terminate their<br />

participation in classes by officially withdrawing from classes. They must fill out the proper form in the<br />
