Improving Student Writing Skills
Presentation
When you present your finished work, it should be neat, clean, and legible. Also,
if you created a project such as a poster or picture book, your presentation should
make your words easier (not harder!) to understand. Presentation draws readers in
and makes them want to take a second look.
Directions: Working as individuals, organize the information below on a page, as if
you were making a poster. Add any illustrations you think it needs, and don’t forget
that some of these words should be titles.
Science Fair Project
“Do beans grow better inside or outside?”
I planted one group of beans outside where they would get light from the sun and
another set inside where they would get light through a window and from electric
lights. I tried to keep everything else the same and was lucky that the temperature
outside was close to the temperature inside. I found that beans grow better outside.
