European Technical Approval -<br />

Option 1 for cracked concrete<br />

In the following, excerpts of approvals that are currently issued in Europe and their<br />

symbols will be given with their corresponding importance:<br />

Please check wether your application is safety relevant.<br />

An application is safety relevant when failure of anchorages would cause risk to human<br />

life or serious injuries and/or lead to considerable economic consequences. In this case<br />

please use anchors with a European Technical (ETA) or with a German Approval. You may<br />

recognise these anchors by:<br />

European Technical Approval<br />

issued by a European approval authority<br />

(e.g. DIBt) on the basis of the<br />

guidelines for European technical<br />

approvals (ETAG)<br />

ETA: European Technical Approval/<br />

Options 1–12<br />

CE: European conformity mark confirms<br />

the compliance of the building<br />

product (e.g. fixing) with the guidelines<br />

for European Technical Approvals.<br />

Products with the CE mark can<br />

be freely traded in the European<br />

economic market.<br />

German approval, issued by the<br />
