It is anticipated that the design of the ARTIC Mixed-Use
District will be compatible with the scale of the nearby
Angel Stadium of Anaheim and the Honda Center. The
ARTIC Transit Center will provide convenient access to
and from local area attractions, as well as area residential
and employment centers. As a major public and civic
investment, the Transit Center’s architecture and building
materials should express vision, creativity and durability.
The Transit Center should be distinct in tone and design,
and incorporate great public space(s). Because of Southern
California’s beautiful climate, the ARTIC Mixed-Use District
should blend outdoor and indoor spaces to create fully
integrated spaces that work well together.
Architecture should reflect a timeless and distinctive
urban environment and avoid “theme” architecture.
Architecture should incorporate geometric forms
in building design to reinforce the character of the
development.
Building forms should be iconic and clearly visible from
the outside of the complex to help provide the ARTIC
Transit Center with a distinct identity.
Strategically located architectural icons and landmarks
should be provided within the ARTIC Mixed-Use District
