MARINE CORPS UNIFORM REGULATIONS<br />

7006. FOOD SERVICE CLOTHING<br />

1. Food Service Specialists (MOS 3381) and those Marines with a secondary<br />

MOS of Quality Assurance Technician (MOS 8033) or filling a designated billet<br />

of Food Service Attendant (MOS 8915) assigned to enlisted messhalls and clubs<br />

may be issued the following clothing as prescribed by the commander:<br />

a. Shirt, men's, polyester/cotton, white w/quarter length sleeve.<br />

b. Trousers, men's, polyester/cotton, white.<br />

c. Apron, polyester/cotton, white.<br />

2. Metal/plastic insignia of grade will be worn on the collar of the<br />

organizational white shirt by food service personnel in the same manner as<br />

prescribed for the utility <strong>uniform</strong>.<br />

7007. FOOD SERVICE CLOTHING, SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT<br />

1. Special assignment food service clothing will be issued to and worn by<br />

Marines with the primary MOS 3381 serving as enlisted aides in general<br />

officer's quarters (MOS 3372) or Food Service Specialists in the General<br />

Officers' Mess as discussed in paragraph 7021.<br />

2. Insignia of grade and branch of service insignia will not be worn on<br />

special food service clothing.<br />

3. Special food service clothing will not be worn beyond organizational<br />

limits.<br />

7008. HEADGEAR, SPECIAL<br />

1. Protective Motor Vehicle Helmet. The approved helmet is issued as<br />

organizational clothing only to military or civilian personnel required to<br />

operate, or ride as a passenger on a government-owned motorcycle or similar<br />

two or three-wheeled vehicle while performing official duties. Such<br />

personnel are required to wear, and will be furnished at government expense,<br />

a helmet of the type described in subparagraph 3022.1.<br />

2. Fiber Helmet. The standard issue fiber helmet may be prescribed by<br />

commanders for wear in the tropics as part of the service <strong>uniform</strong> only, or if<br />

authorized by the CMC, it may be worn at posts where climatic conditions<br />

warrant its use.<br />

7009. HONOR GUARD EQUIPMENT<br />

1. The following items may be worn at the discretion of commanders by<br />

Marines performing duties as honor guards:<br />

a. Belt, military police, cotton webbing, white w/waistplate<br />

b. Carrier, pistol holster, cotton webbing, white<br />

c. Cover, scabbard, bayonet, white<br />

d. Gloves, cloth, white
