MARINE CORPS UNIFORM REGULATIONS<br />
2. When worn, the scarf will overlap to form a "V" at the base of the<br />
throat, hiding the garment beneath.<br />
3026. SHIRTS<br />
1. Khaki Shirts (Long and Short Sleeves)<br />
a. When the service "A" <strong>uniform</strong> is worn, males wear the long sleeve khaki<br />
shirt and females wear either the long- or short-sleeve khaki shirt. The<br />
khaki necktie or green necktab, as appropriate, is worn with this <strong>uniform</strong>.<br />
b. The long-sleeve khaki shirt is part of the service "B" and blue dress<br />
"C" <strong>uniform</strong>s. The khaki necktie/appropriate necktab is worn at all times.<br />
c. The short-sleeve khaki shirt is part of the service "C" and blue dress<br />
"D" <strong>uniform</strong>s, and will be worn with the collar open and no necktie/necktab.<br />
d. Marines may purchase and wear shirts with approval identification from<br />
commercial sources on an optional basis. Enlisted Marines may use these<br />
shirts (with the exception of the French cuff shirt), to satisfy minimum<br />
requirements.<br />
e. The male khaki shirt with French cuffs will be of the same design and<br />
style as the standard shirt except with French cuffs instead of barrel cuffs.<br />
Officers and SNCOs may wear the French cuff shirt optionally for duty, on<br />
leave and liberty, for parades and ceremonial occasions at the commander's<br />
discretion.<br />
f. Male wool- and polyester-blend shirts will be pressed with military<br />
creases. Cotton-blend shirts may be pressed with military creases at the<br />
individual's option. Military creases are formed by pressing two vertical<br />
creases in the front of the shirt, from the shoulder seam through the center<br />
of each pocket to the bottom of the shirt, and three evenly spaced vertical<br />
creases in the back of the shirt, from the yoke seam to the bottom of the<br />
shirt.<br />
g. Female khaki shirts will be worn outside the skirt/slacks, except that<br />
those females who are required to wear a duty/sword belt will tuck their<br />
shirts into their slacks/skirts. The sleeves of the khaki shirts will be<br />
creased and lapels roll-pressed; however, shirts will not be pressed with<br />
military creases.<br />
h. Khaki maternity <strong>uniform</strong> shirts will be worn according to paragraph<br />
3016.<br />
2. Female Dress Shirts<br />
a. The female white dress shirt will be worn with the blue dress or bluewhite<br />
dress "A"/"B" <strong>uniform</strong>s. The standard over-blouse style shirt will be<br />
worn outside the skirt/slacks at all times. The old-style white shirt, which<br />
is worn tucked in, is authorized until replacement is required.<br />
b. The female white ruffled tuck-in dress shirt (with black polyesterwool<br />
necktab and white pearl buttons), sold through the Marine Corps Exchange
