MARINE CORPS UNIFORM REGULATIONS<br />
(3) Company grade officer/enlisted caps will have a plain green fabric<br />
visor and a scarlet cord.<br />
(4) Females may wear either the service cap or garrison cap on all<br />
occasions. Commanders, however, may choose to prescribe which cap will be<br />
worn for specific occasions.<br />
4. Garrison Caps<br />
a. Males<br />
(1) Garrison caps of either green all-season fabric or phase-out<br />
summer weight polyester/wool fabric may be worn with service <strong>uniform</strong>s of any<br />
fabric.<br />
(2) Male Marines will wear the garrison cap with the service <strong>uniform</strong><br />
except when the service cap is authorized/required per subparagraph<br />
3004.3a(2).<br />
(3) The garrison cap will normally be worn in formation with the<br />
service <strong>uniform</strong>, except when the service cap is prescribed by the Commander<br />
for specific occasions.<br />
b. Females<br />
(1) Garrison caps of either green all-season fabric or phase-out<br />
summer weight polyester/wool fabric may be worn with service <strong>uniform</strong>s of any<br />
fabric.<br />
(2) The garrison cap may always be worn except when the service cap is<br />
prescribed for specific occasions.<br />
5. Utility Caps. The camouflage utility cap, combat utility garrison cap,<br />
and combat utility field hat will be worn with the respective utility <strong>uniform</strong><br />
according to paragraph 3037 and paragraph 3038, except when another type of<br />
headgear is specifically authorized by these <strong>regulations</strong> or as directed by<br />
the commander. Field hats will not be worn with the maternity work <strong>uniform</strong>.<br />
3006. COATS<br />
1. General<br />
a. Utility coats will only be worn as a part of the utility <strong>uniform</strong> and<br />
will have the Marine Corps emblem decal placed/embroidered on the left breast<br />
pocket according to paragraph 3037. There will be no mixing of combat and<br />
camouflage utility <strong>uniform</strong> components.<br />
b. Buttons on all service/dress coats may be detachable with worked<br />
eyelets provided for them.<br />
2. Males<br />

a. Service coats are semi-formfitting garments and will not be fitted to<br />
