MARINE CORPS UNIFORM REGULATIONS<br />

1 One set of camouflage utility <strong>uniform</strong>s is comprised of:<br />

requirement is 2 caps, one of each MARPAT).<br />

requirement is 2 caps, one of each MARPAT). The Basic School<br />
students must maintain an two additional combat utility garrison caps<br />
(one woodland and one desert MARPAT).<br />

(e) Black leather combat boots (to include hot weather black or green leather<br />
boots and optional boots) are authorized for wear with all utility <strong>uniform</strong>s<br />
until such time as they become unserviceable or until 1 April 2004). From 1<br />
April 2004 to 1 October 2004 black leather boots may only be worn with the<br />
camouflage utility <strong>uniform</strong>. As of 1 October 2004 black boots (except safety<br />
boots) are deemed obsolete and are no longer authorized for wear and the<br />
optional boot policy is rescinded.<br />
(f) Evening dress required per paragraph 9107.<br />
(g) May be required by commanders for category 2 officers, except temporary<br />
officers with permanent enlisted status, assigned to the following duties:<br />
1 Marine Security Force Battalion Commands<br />
2 Marine Barracks<br />
3 Recruiting Service<br />
4 Military Entrance Processing Stations<br />
5 Billets supporting the Reserve Establishment<br />
6 Marine Detachment/Marine Aviation Detachments/Marine Detachments Afloat<br />
7 State Department/MAAG/Embassy8 <strong>US</strong>NA/NROTC Staffs<br />
9 Officers within the European Area<br />
10 Band Officer<br />
11 Information Service Officer<br />
12 As designated by the Commandant for special assignments<br />
(h) May be of either officer's all-wool or all-season fabric or may be the<br />
standard enlisted blue dress trousers (not applicable to general officers).<br />
(i) Scarlet waistcoat required for general officers only. White waistcoat<br />
may be required for those officers required to wear evening dress "A."
