Choose one of thefollowing configurations: High Performance,High Capacity.This is the country in which <strong>Exadata</strong> willreside; for example: United States.This is the time zone in which <strong>Exadata</strong> resides.For example: America/Chicago.This field is used to define the predominantworkload type for databases on the system.Choose either DW for data warehouse orOLTP for online transaction processing.The installation process uses the backupmethod to determine the sizes for ASM diskgroups. Choose between Backups Internal to<strong>Oracle</strong> and Backups External to <strong>Oracle</strong>.This field determines what type of redundancyyou wish to use for your ASM disk groups.Choose one of the following: High for ALL,High for DATA, High for RECO, or Normal forALL.All flash disks are configured as flash cache.Some of the parameters, like Country and Time Zone, are pretty standard fare when configuringservers. Other parameters are <strong>Exadata</strong>-specific and will be new to you. One thing you may notice rightaway is that there is no way to name your ASM disk groups in the configuration worksheet. If you don’tlike the default names of DATA_{machine_name} and RECO_{machine_name}, you will have the opportunityto change them later in the DBM Configurator. The <strong>Exadata</strong> configuration parameters are described asfollows:243
