This does make it a little difficult to come up with a list of“Exadata Only” events.The “cell” EventsThe Oracle Exadata Storage Server Software User’s Guide 11g Release 2 provides a table of wait events. Allof them start with the word “cell.” The manual lists nine such events. One of them (cell interconnectretransmit during physical read) doesn’t actually exist.There are also another nine events having the word “cell” in their names that are not included in thedocumentation. So we’ll use the complete list of “cell” events as a starting point. You can queryV$EVENT_NAME for that list, and you’ll get the following results. Notice that most of the events are in one ofthe I/O classes.
