TheGeneral Plan designates a large amount of employmentgenerating land uses to encourage economic development andemployment opportunities for Wheatland residents.GOAL 1.GTo support development of employment uses to meet the presentand future needs of Wheatland residents for jobs and to maintainWheatland’s economic vitality.POLICIES1.G.1. The City shall designate specific areas suitable foremployment development and reserve such lands in arange of parcel sizes to accommodate a variety ofemployment uses.1.G.2. The City shall only approve new employment developmentthat has adequate infrastructure and services. Employmentdevelopment shall be required to provide sufficient bufferingfrom residential areas to avoid impacts associated withnoise, odors, and the potential release of hazardous materials.1.G.3. The City shall promote the development of new hightechnology uses in the employment locations near the SR 65bypass.1.G.4.
