48Amplifiers & InterfacesConnect to MP15O or MP100SystemsThe MP System plus BIOPAC amplifiers acts as acomplete, fully-isolated life science data acquisition system.Isolated Inputs & OutputsThis option is highly recommended when interfacingthird-party (non-BIOPAC) mains powered equipmentto an MP System. Use the HLT100C module withINISO and OUTISO signal isolators to provide theinterface. The INISO and OUTISO isolators plug directlyinto any of the 16 analog channels on the HLT100Cmodule and incorporate a 3.5mm phone jack for signalinput or output connections. Select the appropriateanalog connection cable (see page 88) to connect toyour external equipment. The 100C-series amplifiers compose one of the largestranges of amplifiers in the industry. They can be usedwith an MP System or as stand-alone devices. In addition, the MP System will interface with a wide variety ofthird-party equipment such as flow meters, force plates,sono-micrometers, telemetry equipment, transducers, amplifiers, metabolic carts, and bedside monitors. Chooseisolated interfaces for human use and non-isolated for animaland in-vitro applications. A broad range of interface cablesis available, and BIOPAC’s Technical Support group canusually recommend the appropriate cable for your equipment.Signals recorded from third-party equipment are easilycalibrated and scaled within the AcqKnowledge software.Features• Connect to MP150 or MP100 Systems• Isolated Inputs & Outputs• Non-isolated Inputs & Outputs• Interface with Third-party Transducers• Common Interface Connections• Stand Alone Amplifiers• Automatically Control Other EquipmentNon-isolated Inputs & OutputsWhen performing animal or in-vitro experiments withan MP System, and not electrically connecting tohuman subjects, signal connections to external mainspowered equipment can be made through the UIM100Cmodule and the corresponding connection cable (analogor digital).Interface with Third-partyTransducersTo use existing transducers with the DA100C GeneralpurposeTransducer Amplifier, consider the TransducerConnector Interfaces (TCIs). The TCIs plug directlyinto the DA100C amplifier and present the appropriatemating connector to a wide variety of transducer types. For unusual transducers, use the TCIKIT to create acustomized interface. For a detailed list of TCIs, see page 54.Common Interface ConnectionsTo interface with the UIM100C, choose the BIOPACcable that matches your existing connector type.CONNECTOR TYPE USE THIS CABLE3.5 mm mini-phone jack CBL100BNC femaleCBL1024 mm Double Banana jack CBL102 with CBL1061/4" phone jack (6.3mm) CBL105
