DRIVE COMMAND SET PARK BASEPLATES (C9H)PARK BASEPLATES (C9H)The PARK BASEPLATES command is a vendor unique command that will park the baseplates andprepare the drive for shipment.PARK BASEPLATES Command (C9H)BITBYTE7 6 5 4 3 2 1 000 PARK BASEPLATES (C9H)01 LUN 0 Reserved02 0x50 (’P’)03 0x52 (’R’)04 0x4B (’K’)05 ReservedIf media is inserted between the baseplates when this command is received, the command will be rejectedand a CHECK CONDITION will be reported with a Sense Key of ILLEGAL REQUEST (05), with ASQ ofILLEGAL FUNCTION (22).If this command is executed on an LF6600, the baseplates will be parked and the shuttle will be moved tothe HOME position.Once the PARK BASEPLATES command is executed, the drive must be powered down and prepared forshipment. If the PARK BASEPLATES command is successfully executed and further use of the drive isdesired, the drive must be power cycled before continuation.PREVENT/ALLOW MEDIA REMOVAL (1EH)The PREVENT/ALLOW MEDIA REMOVAL command enables or disables the removal of media from theLaserDrive.PREVENT/ALLOW MEDIA REMOVAL Command (1EH)BITBYTE7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0Prevent00 PREVENT/ALLOW MEDIA REMOVAL (1EH)01 LUN 0 Reserved02 Reserved03 Reserved04 Reserved Prevent05 ReservedA Prevent bit of one prevents removal of the media. A Prevent bit of zero allows removal of the media. Ifany Initiator has issued this command with the Prevent bit set, then the media will not be allowed to beremoved. This is true even if other Initiators issue the command with a Prevent bit of zero. If set bymultiple Initiators, the lock will be enforced until released by all Initiators. The default state is to allowmedia removal (zero).If the Prevent bit has been set by any Initiator, the user will be prevented from accessing Test mode orConfiguration mode via the DOC panel.
