It can monitor actual water flow rates and compare them against theexpected or design flow rates and provide alerts and action when limits or boundaries areexceeded. The system can reduce the overall completion time of a watering cycle by running thenumber of zones that best use the availablewater at each minute of the watering cycle.The main menu system for flow management isshows by turning the dial to the Flow Menuposition. This screen is shown to the right.Using a flow device to monitor water flow ratesand water used is the best way to manage thisprecious resource, but even without a flowdevice, many capabilities are available that canimprove the efficiency of your system. These willbe covered in the sections below.Flow DevicesFlow Device SetupPressing ENTR from the main Flow Menu dial position, with the Flow Device Setup menu itemhighlighted, will show the following screen (shown to the right). After the flow devices havebeen connected to the two-wire, a Searchoperation must be done so the controller cando an inventory of devices on the two-wire andlist them for programming. This Search can bedone from any of the dial positions that havethis function.As can be seen in the screen to the right, oneflow device has been found from a Searchoperation. Pressing the + or – key will scrollthrough the list of flow devices. Each flowdevice is given a number, one to four, in theorder that they are found.
