C h a p t e r 5 – R e f e r e n c eStart TimesPrimary This zone type is used for the first zone in a zone schedulinggroup. Making changes to a primary zone will automaticallymake corresponding changes in all linked zones.A biSensor can only be assigned to primary zones.Linked A linked zone will follow the watering and programming of theprimary zone that it is linked to. If zone 2 is linked to primaryzone 1, then it will follow zone 1.A linked zone must have a higher number than the primaryzone it is linked with.Water Time – the zone water time can be set from 1 minute to 23 hours 30 minutes.Linked zones are programmed as a tracking ratio or percent of the primary zone. Fora primary zone set to 60 minutes, a linked zone that is programmed at 150% wouldhave a water time of 90 minutes. Linked zone ratios range from 30% to 1000%.Changing the primary zone to a new water time will adjust linked zones by theirtracking ratios.Program – there are twenty programs (A to T) for ultimate flexibility. A zone may beassigned to any program. Linked zones are automatically assigned to the program oftheir primary zone and cannot be changed independently.There are two sections of the Start Times dialposition: start times and water windows.Program Start TimesEach active program must have at least one start time. Refer to the sample screen to the right.If a program has no start time then it is disabled and will not run. Programs can have from one toeight start times. Start times are set in 15 minute increments.To set a new start time, highlight an empty box on the screen using NEXT/PREV and press the +or – key. Use the + or – key to change the start time to that desired. A start time may be deletedby pressing the CLR key with the start time highlighted.
