C h a p t e r 3 – A d v a n c e d P r o g r a m m i n gThe mainline assignments are made in theMainline Configure menu of the Flow Menu dialposition. Highlight the menu item and press ENTRto show a screen like the one to the right.Assignments are made from the item or device tothe mainline. This means that flow device #1 isassigned to a mainline, in this case to mainline 1.If the pipe topology was different, then it shouldbe assigned to the physical mainline. Most sites only have one mainline, which is thedefault assignment for all items and devices. Tochange an assignment, use the NEXT/PREV keys to highlight the desired change and use the + or– keys to make the new mainline assignment. In this example, two mainlines are used, each withone flow device, one master valve, and two programs (assuming only the first four programs areused).Pause biCodersPause biCoders provide a means to pause watering on a program basis through a switch or set ofelectrical contacts. When the contacts open, programs can be paused for a preset amount oftime. Each pause bicoder may be programmed for a different delay time and to a different set ofprograms. The controller can configure and use up to fourpause biCoders. Pause biCoders are numberedfrom one to four, and are automatically assigneda number when they are found during a searchoperation. To program the pause biCoders, turnthe dial to the AUX position and highlight theTemp/Pause menu item. Press ENTR to displaythe programming screen, like the one to theright. The Pause Delay Time may be set in hourincrements between zero and 24 hours. Whenthe pause biCoder detects that its pausecontacts have been opened (closed = don’t pause), the specified programs will move to pausedstate and all water will be suspended. When the pause bicoder detects that the contacts havebeen closed again, a delay timer will start for the specified delay time. If the delay time is zero, then watering will resume without a delay. If the delay time is one hour, then watering will bedelayed for an hour. The delay timer start when the contacts close, not when the contacts open.To change the programs that are controlled by the pause bicoder, use the NEXT/PREV keys tohighlight the program and then use + or – to change between yes (Y) and no (-). To remove a two-wire device, you must physically diconnect it from thetwo-wire and then perform a Search operation from the device specificmenu. This means a biSensor can only be removed by doing a search fromthe biSensor menu, etc.. The pause bicoder can be set to off by highlighting the delay time and thenpressing the CLR key.Page 49Baseline 3200
