The controllerallows four master valves (MV1 to MV4). By default, all master valves areassumed to be Normally Closed, unless they are specifically programmed tobe Normally Open (see below). This is a normally closed master valve, and it built in to the BL-5402NCMVflow device. This is a normally open master valve, and it built in to the BL-5402NOMVflow device. It can monitor high flow and shut down independently fromthe controller. This is the zone within a Schedule Group that all other Linked Zones arelinked to. Changing the programming on this zone will adjust theprogramming on all linked zones, resulting saved time and consistency.A program is a controller programming concept used to organize wateringevents. Each program can have differing schedules, water days, wateringstrategies, master valves, etc. The BaseStation 3200 support up to 20programs.A relay or relay-type device that initiates turn on of a pump, typically a highhorsepower electrical or motor driven pump.A group of one or more zones that have been linked together for irrigationscheduling. A Schedule Group must have one Primary Zone, and may haveone or more Linked Zones. Irrigation for all zones in a Schedule Group willfollow the Watering Strategy of the Primary Zone, but actual irrigation runtimes and soak/cycle behavior will scale as programmed relative to thePrimary Zone.Any zone programmed to water on a time/day schedule, not a smartirrigation schedule. This site wiring technique consists of a cable with an outer insulation, around two internal insulated wires, being used to provide communicationand power for all valves and other devices throughout the site. It providesfull two-way communication much like a computer network. This water strategy if programmed by setting the schedule to water withHistorical ET Calendar day intervals, or alternatively with specific days of theweek, and then setting the biSensor to adjust the water run time to “fill up”the moisture to the upper limit (field capacity). The controller will water aprogram at each start time and will modify the run time based on themoisture depletion level. This is the basic unit of controller programming and consists of a valve thatsupplies water to a set of sprinkler heads or drip equipment. It has anumber of associated programming values and optionsThis refers to the number of zones (valves) that can be operated at thesame time. This is often limited by the amount of water available and thedesign flow of each of the zones. This can be set on a per program basis, and can be automatically managed using a flow device.Page 79Baseline 3200
