<strong>ACTA</strong> <strong>TECHNICA</strong> <strong>CORVINIENSIS</strong> – BULLETIN <strong>of</strong> ENGINEERINGmost probably application in packaging field,where goods are using (are performing function)only for some days and after it is problem“WHAT WITH THEM”? This problem in case <strong>of</strong> PEand PP materials is very complicated and nevercould not be absolutely solved. Biodegradableplastics advantage in this case is obvious. Due totheir comfortable (for unpretentiousapplications as packaging etc.) properties canperform plastic part function without anyproblem and after end <strong>of</strong> part life cycle (whereconventional petrolic polymers becomesproblem) is able to resolve to nature componentwithout any “ecologic print”. In next studies willbe observated technological parametersinfluence to degradation behavior <strong>of</strong> thematerial HL-103. Because <strong>of</strong> relatively high price<strong>of</strong> this material, next studies will be also focusedto price decreasing possibilities. The simplestway is to fill this basic material with anotherbiodegradable material which is much cheaperthan basic polymeric material. For example itcould be wood powder. It is question, how canthis filler affect mechanical properties andproperties during biodegradation. Probablywood powder will decrease mechanicalproperties <strong>of</strong> specimen made <strong>of</strong> compound HL-103 and wood powder, but on other side will bedecreased time <strong>of</strong> complete degradation. Rate <strong>of</strong>these influences is <strong>of</strong> course in volumepercentage <strong>of</strong> added wood powder. And this isthe question will be solved in next studies, wherewill be used various wood powder percentagesin basic HL-103 and similar propertiesobservated in this study will be observated foreach compound.AUTHOR & AFFILIATION1.JIŘÍ BOBEK1.
