ACTA TECHNICA CORVINIENSIS – BULLETIN of ENGINEERINGcustomers. The customers (the chosenenterprise) demanded interconnection ofinformation by means of portal on the platformShare Point Portal Server. The new informationsystem should support obtaining of strategicaims of the enterprise, thus obtainingcompetitive advantage. Implementation ofactive planning was aimed to improve control ofeconomics and more efficient resources usage. The process of selection was very complicatedand it lasted three quarters of a year. Theenterprise has had a lot of experience withsuppliers and it has considered also in this casemany information systems. The main criteria ofselection was quality, scalability, know how inthe area of control of building manufacture andthe most user friendly interface. The othercriteria were complexity from the point of viewof demands on subsidiary processes andfunctioning of the enterprise. Support ofcreation, realization and optimization ofprojects and support of efficient cooperationwith a broad spectrum of external professionalpartners were also important factors. The course of implementation of theinformation systemAfter ending of the tender, before beginning ofimplementation, the enterprise had demanded aworkout of integration-implementation studythat mapped processes in the enterprise. Thisstudy was a important milestone beforeachieving agreement between enterprise aims ofthe customer and possibilities of the projectedinformation system. After negotiations andacceptation, the supplier offered a proposal ofsolution. The architecture of the system was proposedwith the aim to cover all enterprise processes –from search for customers, through bid andpreparation of contract, realization of building, handover of the building, to completion of theproject. The pillar of solution was the system forsupport of purchase, sales and finances. Thesystem had to be integrated with the system ofcontrol of building manufacture and tools ofCenkros software (the software of creation ofbuilding budgets), system for humans resourcesmanagement and salaries Human and with theenterprise portal offering subsidiary services, asevidence of contacts, management ofattendance, acceptance processes, etc. Thisconception would eliminate duplicity of data. All specialized demands were worked into theinformation system of the enterprise. Forexample, the module Finances demandeddeeper economic analyses, more detailedbudget planning, building specialties likemortgages, payment calendars, stoppers, workout of projects, observation of costs ofindividual projects, evaluation of projects, observation of commitments towards certaindate, or data acquisition for statistical needs.Every implementation of changes is facingmistrust at first. It was very important not toloose support from management of theenterprise during the course of the project.Usually the phases of analyzing and testing ofoutputs of the project are critical. In this process,it is inevitable to cooperate with the customer. Inthe chose enterprise, it was difficult for the keyemployees that had to dedicate main part oftheir work time to cooperation with theimplementer of the solution and they had to dotheir normal responsibilities. The course of the implementation wasmonitored on periodic seminars. The customerwanted to be sure, that capacities and financialmeans will be efficiently used with demandedresults, therefore it observed very precisely andconsulted the course and fulfillment of tasks. Inthis way, the project was lead to its final phase.Evaluation of assetsAfter implementation of the information system, the employees obtained a complex entry andquick overview of state of orders and projects. With information share, documents and forms ofShare Point Portal Server the duplicities werecancelled and teamwork was simplified. The solution fulfilled demands of the customeron mobility. The site managers that work onbuildings in terrain can connect to theenterprise’s portal by use of their notebooks. Inthis way they solve mainly exchange ofinformation that they need for their operation, like information about course of orders, economics and accounting documents, economics and accounting documents of theirprojects and similar ones.By use of online connection they can also reportabout the actual situation on the particularbuilding that shows a complex overview and2010/Fascicule 2/AprilJune /Tome III 89
