4. ResultsAs it has been mentioned above a DC electromagnetic actuators with double E-shaped core is investigated (Fig.2). The actuator is fed by voltage supply block andcontrollable DC-DC convertor. Used electric circuit schemes are shown in Fig.4. andFig.5.4.1. FEM ModelResult for thermal and magnetic field distributions in last moment of closing thearmature are shown on Fig.5 and Fig.6. Magnetic flux density maximal value is 1Tand maximal temperature of 45°C is in coil region.Fig.6. Magnetic flux density distribution.Fig.7. Thermal field distribution.4.2. Dynamic characteristicsDynamical characteristics of DC electromagnetic actuators are evaluated in timerange 0 to 2 seconds. Transient process of closing the armature is presented. MatlabODE23t method with time varying time step is used in evaluation [10].DC electromagnet dynamical characteristics are shown in Fig.-Fig. 8-11. Relativelylow speed of armature displacement is due to large air-gap and initial damping force.4. ConclusionHighly effective and fast method for indirect coupling of field problems with circuit’smodel is proposed. Method uses the huge capabilities of Matlab/Simulink environmentand popular Femm program with Lua-script and Octave interface.119
