IxworthONS Population Estimate 2007: 2,270Position in <strong>Core</strong> <strong>St</strong>rategy Settlement Hierarchy: Key Service CentreIxworth has a very good network of existing infrastructure for a Key ServiceCentre of its size. Particularly it is well served currently by its local services,number of sports pitches and community facilities. There is also a good provisionof GPs in Ixworth. Whilst there is a significant level of capacity within middleschools, currently the primary school is nearing capacity, although the SuffolkSchools Reorganisation may alter capacity if both of these schools become lowertier in a two tier system. New provision and improvement of existing provision ofdesirable infrastructure such as non-pitch sports facilities, amenity open space andplaygrounds will all need to be considered.
