The Heritage Management Plan for Grootte SchuurEstate terraces was completed and the fi nal draft of the Tourism andLeisure study, funded by the Development Bank of South Africa, wassubmitted for comment.CLIMATIC CONDITIONSAlthough rain fell throughout October and November <strong>2005</strong>, thesummer was very hot and dry. The Cape experienced the highestfrequency of south-easterly winds in decades making the season veryconducive to runaway fi res.49
