This command works in combination with shapes suchas circles, ellipses, and boxes. If the argument is a color, then shapes are filled with the given color(see “set color). If it is a pattern, then the shapes are painted with the given pattern in black ink.Fig. 3.6 lists a number of pre-defined patterns. To paint a shape in a color different from black,first set the color, then the pattern.
