When you have made your selection of the CTCSSTone Mode, press the key momentarily, then rotatethe DIAL selector knob one click clockwise toselect Menu Item (TONE Set). This Menu selectionallows setting of the CCTCSS Tone Frequency to beused. Press the key to enable the adjustment of theCTCSS Tone Frequency. Rotate the DIAL selector knob until the display indicatesthe CTCSS Tone Frequency you need to be using. When you have made your selection, press thekey to save the new setting, then press the PTT keyrepetitively until the radio exits to normal operation.The “ ” icon will appearat the bottom of the displaywhen the CTCSS Decoder isactivated.Note: The <strong>VXA</strong>-<strong>710</strong> will not “remember” the CTCSS ToneMode and Tone Frequency. If you would like to maintainthe CTCSS information permanently, we recommend youstore the channel information, including the CTCSS data,into a Memory Channel.
